Triantafyllopoulos family, always motivated by love for Kos island and loyalty to the history and wealth of Mediterranean wine-gastronomic Civilization, maintains the knowledge and experience gained so far from its presence in wine-making, but also sets new goals with a 20-years horizon. The erection of the winery in 2004, simultaneously brought about the opening of its facilities to wine-lovers. About 700.00 visitors have been hosted, a fact that credits family’s initial vision to create a space where cultures interact, wine being the common place. These people, along whom we share wine routes and experiences, were the inspiration for the emergence of our new trade identity ΚΤΙΜΑ ΑΚRANI. Explosive fruity wines, with crispy acidity and long, aromatic aftertaste. They are representative samples of pure fruits the Mediterranean climate enables to grow, provided the proper handling of vines or wines series exclusively dedicated to Greek varieties. However, the intensity and typicity of the specific varietal characters are depending on the soil, the vigorousity and age of plants. Hence, the vines that demonstrate the best maturation process are selected, based on the climate conditions all year long. And wines that carry the taste print of a specific vineyard, the first planted by Mr. A. Triantafyllopoulos and his team. It is a 25-year-old ecosystem, where plants have developed their root system in a stony red soil, on a slate subsoil.
